How do you delete files off of a dvd-rw disc?

If I record on my dcr will I be able to transfer files to my computer then delete files on disc to reuse disc?

• I'll be making videos but I need to edit them but I'll be using my dcr( digital disc camcorder) so will I be able to put the files on my computer then delete files on disc somi can reuse the disc again? I don't want to waste discs.

  If you use DVD-RW disks, you can reformat the disk and use it again. If using DVD +_ R, these are not reusable. Format your disks in the camcorder, do not fill your DVDs to Maximum before Finalizing, you will loose your videos if you do that. Once you have finalized a DVD, take it to your computer. Insert the DVD into a DVD Drive in your computer. Explore your computer, find your DVD drive and explore it. When you first look at the DVD, you will see a VIDEO_TS folder.
