How do I record only my voice with my web cam and not a video?

I want to record my voice and only my voice to make a commentary for youtube. I have a Dell laptop and I know how to record videos already but how do I record JUST my voice? Thanks.

Does your NLE do voiceovers? Use the help section of your NLE and see if it does. If it does, hook up a Microphone in a mode your NLE can detect and do the voiceover.
