I want to shoot birthday party and plan to take my camcorder on holiday, so portability is important. which brand would be better.

Any of the main companies, Sony, Canon, even JVC, decide on a budget, get either a flash drive camcorder or Hard drive camcorder, do not get a mini-dvd (small disks) they are very bad, and have the lowest quality. as you do not give a budget then its hard to suggest a model keep away from the cheap cameras if you can Good luck RR
