How to export to minidv pal with a ntsc camcorder?

is it possible to export as minidv pal tape with a ntsc camcorder? i bought a camcorder in usa but i have to export to minidv pal to send my short to a film festival in europe. i had a problem when i tried to do it in premiere cs4. it did not work. i could never see the video on lcd of my camcorder. then i changed settings to ntsc and i saw the video on the lcd. why is that? i have to make it in pal. how?i have a minidv jv gr d850us camcorder. my raw video to be exported is in dv avi format. thanks

If you camcorder is ntsc then its going to record and if you try to export from cs4 to the camera its going to be ntsc. the only way I can think of it to borrow a PAL camera and export it to that, then the footage will be In pal format. Don't forget the frame rate is different, and the amount of lines It might be worth trying a couple of minutes first. Premiere is a great prog. it should sort things out for you Never tried it myself Good luck RR
