How do I transfer video to my MACBOOK?

How can I transfer video from my Canon MD205 to my Macbook Pro?

  • How can I transfer video from my Canon MD205 (which has Firewire no USB) to my 13' Macbook Pro (which has USB no Firewire)? It's my first time with a Mac and I'm seriously unimpressed they do not support firewire.

Is it not an option? It is odd that it's not the default set up considering it was created by Apple. If it's possible, have one installed. It's not practical to have to use another computer first. You're not the first with that issue. You'd have to capture to computer with Firewire then bring in the video to your Mac using a thumb drive.
