How do you use your video clips from your Rebel T2i camera into Windows Movie Maker?

Whenever I import my videos that I took on my Canon Rebel T2i into Windows Movie Maker, it doesn't work. It says that my file isn't a working format or something? How can I make them work?

Answer:
Yes thats right , the rebel has mp4 files which is why it isnt working the best way to fix this problem is to convert the files to wmv using a video converter ..
