Kodak Zi6 HD pocket camcorder: Disaster! Pictures only in 3mp?

  • What is the max resolution of the Zi6 for still images? Why is it that the camcorder is able to record 720p HD videos but not HQ/HD still images? I went to google and searched, "Zi6 sample pictures" and I found these: http://kodakzi6.info/images/Zi6_0497.JPG and http://rfquerin.org/Zi6Samples/Zi6_NormalStill.JPG The resolutions of these pictures look like they;re more than 3mp. Are these pictures fake?

    Zi6 captures still images for only 3MP. The reason why it is not able to record HD pictures is because this device is merely for capturing videos (if you will notice from the name of the camera itself: KODAK Zi6 Pocket Video Camera) meaning, taking pictures is just an additional feature. The resolution of these pictures looks about 3mp to me. As far as i know, the maximum resolution for the Zi6 is 3mp. sorry if that didn't really answer your question, i didn't really understand it properly...
