How to make videos from my camera play on Windows Movie Maker?

I have windows movie maker and i just dumped all my pics and vids on my pc. i go on the movie maker and i drag the vid from my camera onto the bar thing. when i push play, all it does is show a scene from the vid like a pic. i want the vid to play. how do i do it?

Answer:
I'm a little confused but I'll take a shot. You may want to choose the Timeline option if you haven't already. Also try placing only one clip on the timeline, make sure you're at the beginning, then pres CTRL + W. Good luck. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful.
