What determines how clear a camcorder is?

Which camcorder is best for me?

• I want a camcorder that when I watch the video I took I can see all the details. A camcorder that takes video like the camcorders that shoot box office hits. I want a camcorder that can catch a car speeding by, without it being a blur. I want a camcorder that shows colors as they look to my eyes. Also I don't want it to wash people out. I want a camcorder that zooms in and out real good. I want my future camcorder to catch the sound as my ears hear it. I am going to enter a video contest and I need a camcorder that I can win with. It has to be AMAZING. As far as money goes I am willing to pay around $1,300. But if you know of an EXCELLENT, UNBELIEVABLE camcorder that is more than that, tell me because if its worth it I will consider it. So my main 4 questions are: 1. Name of camcorder 2. Price 3. Pros 4. Cons Also which video editing software would you recommend for me? If there are any other tips or information you would like to add, please do so! I appreciate it!

So My suggestion: The Canon T3i http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/758979-REG/Canon_5169B005_EOS_Rebel_T3i_Digital.html Price: $1050 Pros: 1080p, interchangeable lenses, available fast shutter (for speeding cars), great color, sharp lens, takes great stills. Cons: Doesn't look or feel like a video camera (if you care) and really that's about all when you compare it to other similarly priced cameas. Yes, it IS a still camera but the 'new thing' is using DSLRs for video, and they do a decent job.
