What is a good video camera/camcorder that is cheap?

  • i want a video camera, but what is a good (decent) one that can record in pretty decent quality but is cheap and not that expensive. does anyone have good camera that they can suggest or does anyone know a good one that is good? please answer thanks

    First of all, if its cheap .. it certainly is not that expensive. Walmart, Target and Walgreens offer camcorders (with very few features, of course) that range from $50 to up to $150 .. the higher the price, the better the product gets. But so as not to ruin your fun when you start taking pictures or shooting videos, go for the $100 mark and up .. not HD but definitely good quality pics and vids point of consideration .. IF this is going to be an investment on your part? Go for the higher range .. perhaps extend your budget to $250 .. and go for brand names like JVC or Canon or Sony .. it will be worth it.

cheap means different things to different people. an excellent camera at only $250 is the Canon ZR960. Excellent audio capability, miniDV timecode, 16:9 widescreen mode, high data rate/low video compression and real optical zoom.
