What is the best Camcorder for $300?

I want a small camcorder that i can edit videos with windows movie maker for windows vista. I would like it to be small and have good still image quality.

Best for what? Since you are in the camcorder forum, something in the Canon ZR or FS series. Entry level camcorders don't do well with stills - just as entry level DCS point and shoot cameras don't do well with video.
