Help to transfer video from my video camera to my computer.

Can't transfer video to computer with USB Cable! Help!?

  • I have a Canon Powershot SX130 IS and my computer sd slot doesn't support the SD card that my camera has. So I have to transfer pictures and videos with the USB cable that it comes with... except that it doesn't work with transfering videos! I am a Youtuber and my laptop died so I am using this older computer- Emachines running with Windows XP. When I plug it in and turn on the camera, a window pops up on my computer screen with options, the last one says "Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard" beneath it in small letters it says "Download pictures from a camera or scanner". I select that and then it shows the only thing on my camera, the video. So its selected and I continue and I get this message "The current picture could not be copied. To copy this picture, click Try Again" .... and so on. It doesnt work and when I explore and it shows me the file in the folder I drag it to my desktop but I still get an error that doesnt even make sense!! Help, what do I do?! This is urgent!!! Thanks in advance :D
