What is the best video camera to make home movies with?

Best Still/Video hybrid camera w/ good audio?

I'm looking to get a new digital camera, one with great optical zoom and can take good video but also good audio! Everyone talks about video quality in these new camera's but I hardly hear anything about audio quality. What should I be looking for in a camera that takes really nice "point and shoot" pictures for a novice like me, but can also be used (without a separate mic) to make Good quality vlogs and home movies? Canon has come out with some pretty tiny little things for around 350 dollars that take good stills, and HD video, but what is the audio quality like on those? And what would you recommend if those are not the best out there?
