How do I change the format of a video?

I have record video from my mobile,store in MPEG-4 format in laptop..so how can i change the format?

  • i have buy a mobile phone ..record video from it and transfer to my laptop ..but problem is it stored as a MPEG - 4 format in my laptop .and this due to this format it couldn't open in widow media player ..please tell me how can i change the format ..so that my window media player support it .

    There are A LOT of programs that change video file format. I personally use Aiseesoft Total Video Converter (you usually have to pay for it), and got it for free on www.GiveawayOfTheDay.com. They usually give away format changing programs for free, check back on the website every day for the new one. You could also try downloading and installing some free trials of programs. There are a lot out there, but go for the free ones, because the paid ones cost about £30 and are not too much better than free.
