How much does it cost to repair my flat screen?

Samsung camera - broken lcd screen? How much would this cost to repair?

• I dropped my camera at the weekend, and the lcd screen is now damaged, and needs replacing. I think this is the only thing that is damaged - I tried taking a picture, and then put my memory card into my laptop, and the picture had taken fine, but it's not much use when you can't see what you are taking. It is not covered into the warranty, but I have contacted Samsung who have given me an address to post it off to have it looked at by an engineer. They couldn't give me a rough idea of how much it will cost, but if they quote me a price, and I decide it's not worth getting fixed, then I have to pay them £11.50 to get the camera back. Does anyone know roughly how much it might cost to get this replaced? I don't want to waste extra time and expense getting it looked at if it might be more cost efficient to buy a new camera. The camera cost me £80, although it was a really good buy. It's an 8 mega-pixel. Do you think I would have to go via Samsung to get it repaired, or do you think I could find a local repair shop that might be able to sort it for me a bit cheaper?
