Whats the video effect used in this vid?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78_loMbmKJ8 how the edges of the video are sort of curved in and blurred, not sure if it is a special sports camera, but i would like to know, and if possible a plug in for VideoPad Video Editor Proffesional, that causes the effect, thank you!

That is an effect my Canon ZR series can pull of. It is done within the camcorder menu. It is called fish eye.
