How do the Flip Video's work?

Why won't my Flip videos work on Windows Movie Maker?

  • I have some videos that I filmed on a Flip video camera that I want to edit together. I went into the folder where they are and it shows no videos there, even though I can go into it manually and watch the videos. Will Flip videos just not work on Windows Movie Maker, or do I have to change some settings?

    Open a folder and drag your video to it to cody dont right clip drag it to a folder or desktop

On some Flip versions, you must go to 'Computer' and click the drive Flip is plugged into. Other versions you must have the camcorder plugged into the computer to get the correct computer player codes even when saved to documents. One of my Flip camcorders will not play on my Vista but plays on Windows 7. If you get them to play, send them to 'documents' and then you can usually work with them. My Flip HD would not play on XP. I love my four Flip cameras but they can be a pain.
