PLEASE Help "Formatting a Disk" so I can get files from my video camera to pc?

Well, first of all, if you were to format it, all the videos would be gone. Formatting wipes the drive clean. I'm assuming it's not allowing you format it because the format it is in is probably the only type the camera will allow. None the less, if you do format it, whatever was on that disk will be lost.

No, you don't want to format you want to finalize it, if you want to get the files from your camcorder to your pc. Formatting erases the video. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Usually you would import your videos and drop them in to the timeline, add transitions, menus, music, etc. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.
