Why cant i import my vidoes from my camera to my computer?

I have a kodak M340 digital camera and i cant import my vidoes to the kodak gallery, it says cannot import device information. I have a windows xp. please help i need this for a project.

Answer:
Have you installed the software? Did you put your camera in playback/review mode? Have you looked in the manual? If you connect your camera via USB, can you see your camera in MyComputer. If none of these things work, then I suggest an external USB card reader. You can copy/paste from your card to your pictures folder.
