Can you import pictures from your computer to your memory card?

How can i import video from a memory card?

  • Me and my friend were using her video camcorder and People were on her computer so i told her i would take her memory stick so i could use my windows movie maker to make the DVD for our school project. and when i put it in to up load it ( i have windows vista) autoplay pops up and then i click import pictures and videos cuz i need the video. and it says: the file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create and association in the Set Associations control panel. ? What does that mean and how can i get this memory card to work i need this footage. : )

  • Answer:

Don't use the auto-play. Mount the card as a mass storage device (or skip autoplay and locate the card). Open the card and locate the video files (there may be some folders and stuff in them - you do not need them). Copy the video files to your computer. Launch MovieMaker. Drag/drop the video files to the MovieMaker collection area. If that does not work, you need to convert the fiels first. StreamClip can do that conversion to a file type MovieMaker likes... .avi, .wmv, .dv... after the conversion, drag/drop the converted files to the MovieMaker collections area.
