What is the best type of camcorder to buy?

  • i want to buy a camcorder but not spend to much money on it. Which is the best type like dvd , dv and all these other types. what do they all mean? if you dont buy a dvd camcorder, can you copy videos to dvds from say a dv camcorder?

MINI DV is best for quality. HARD DISC is best for portability MINI DVD is a mix of good quality and portability. Yes - u can copy the video's from minidv to minidvd but need to install the softwares and involves manual work to do so.

i've just bought my daughter a hitachi dzmv3000 mini dvd camcorder not too expensive at €345 . (argos)the picture is amazing it uses mini dvds 10 for 15euro playable on any device also a sd card slot all files can be offloaded to a pc /net or whatever .i spent plenty of time on rescearch
