Why won't Windows Movie Maker import my video?

Why can't I import video to windows movie maker?

  • Everytime I try importing a video it says error and stuff but I can import a picture fine. Can anyone help? Oh and does a make a difference that the video I'm trying to import is from my iPod?

    before your import videos to WMM, make sure the videos formats are supported by WMM. If not, you can use a video converter software to convert videos to WMV, MPEG, etc for transferring to WMM. http://www.youtube-converter-mac.com/wondershare-video-converter.htm

you need to make sure the video format which you intend to import is supported by the windows movie maker. same thing you need to consider about importing videos to ipod, you could definitely import any video into it, but you could not view those which format is not supported by iPod.

MOVIE MAKER does not support all file types, not hd, mpeg4, mts, mod, mov or h.264 files. If your camera shoots in those formats you will have to convert to use WMM. It's probably the format of the video. I've had similar troubles importing an iPod video to Windows Movie maker. So i downloaded the newer one! Just search for the new windows movie maker on Microsoft's website and download. It's free and safe. Hope this helps.
