How to get files from camcorder to computer?

How do I upload clips from my camcorder to the computer?

  • I have an Aiptek digital camcorder and I want to just upload a clip from my camcorder to the computer somehow and so I can burn it to a disc. (this is for a school project). It has worked before where when I just plug the camcorder into the computer it comes up to show options for what to do, like open with Windows Media Player, view files, etc.. But for some reason, now it isn't showing that and I dont know how to get the clips even uploaded to the computer to go from there. Any help??? PLEASE???

    Aiptek? Never heard of it... Why would you get an off-brand like that? If it was a reputable company, you could probably go to them for help, but sorry guess you should see if they have a website and check it for drivers or maybe a support forum..
