What is a good professional camera that also has video?

  For $300 you are no where near any professional cameras, put a zero on and you are getting there. Neither stills or video cameras do each others jobs well. so you have to decide what you want the camera mainly to do. If you use a stills camera much better for your nature pictures, then use is for you "make-up" videos, as there is little movement in the video it should work reasonably well, making sure you have good lighting, most poor video can be sorted out by good lighting. As it seems nature is more important then go and have a look around at what you can get for your money you dont want a camera that feels uncomfortable, or does not have the functions you want. RR
