Whats the best camcorders for snowboard filming?

What are the best HD camcorders to be used for filming?

  • Im new to filming , majoring radio and tv production ... I am looking forward to buy soon a new video camera full HD and the price is an issue I can't buy a prosumer camera that might cost around 3000 $ to 4000$ and might not be HD ..so i was wondering if anyone can help me suggesting few full HD cameras. I already have a canon dslr 7D to use for video but i need a second one for more low angle shots and moving shots. I loved the new sony nex vg10 but i hate that its not 24p ... Thank you for any help :)

    I would talk to your tutor, I would be surprised if they suggest anything with a hard drive or flash drive, they would probably recommend tape based. sony nex vg10 Nice camera until you see the imortal spec "AVCHD" consumer grade codec. Most of work experience students, use tape based cameras, HDV, for the money they are far better quality, and secondhand. Forget the DSLR route, its a stills camera trying to be a video camera, does not work in the professional world, maybe for happy vids its fine. What is your budget, under 3k as the sony nex vg10 is around 2K (ithink) RR
