Should I buy this camcorder?

Is it better to buy a higher end minidv/vhs camcorder or a newer low end dvd/hd camcorder ?

  • I'm looking to do little videos for web usage, and was trying to decide which camcorder to buy? I was looking into buying a newer low end camcorder for about 300-400 , or I can buy a used higher end mini dv video camcorder. Which will yield better quality for the price? Will the older cameras look terrible upsampled to 720p ?

    minidv is the best. VHS is analog and even though it's tape, there is no comparison between the minidv (digital) and the vhs (analog). Minidvd does not have good quality and are a pain in the butt to convert for download. HD are high definition so that is good. Hard drive camcorders are not too good. Flash Drive camcorders are compressed but I do like my flash drive camcorder for ease of use.
