Affordable Night Vision?

Can any camcorder hook up to an infrared illuminator night vision?

• Or is there a camera equip with full night vision? (cat vision) We are willing to spend at the most 80 bucks. (possibly more) The night vision video camcorders we were looking at had the night vision, but were not the night vision we were looking for.. They had a bright light, (flashlight). We don't want that. We are using this camcorder in complete dark, at gettysburg. We need complete night vision. So, is there a camcorder with complete on infrared night vision? Or would we need a hook up infrared illuminator night vision? If we do need a hook up infrared illuminator night vision, do we need specific camcorders that are compatible for the infrared illuminator? An example of an infrared illuminator night vision is: Phantom Lite Infrared Illuminator Night Vision. I know this might sound crazy, but any help would be very helpful. Obviously i'm completely ignorant to this subject. Thanks in advanced!

  No. Yes. Your budget is too small. Yes. Additional IR can be added to Sony camcorders with an AIS (Advanced Interface Shoe). Yes. The Sony HDR-CX700 has NightShot mode... So does the Sony HVR-A1.
