What is the best professiona camcorder to buy?

• Ok so i am wanting to make a Independent low budget movie. It is basically a documentary horror film. It is shot by one of the main actors. Now i am wanting to buy the best with my price range. Which is around 1500 dollars. So what is the best camcorder i can buy that is HD and can film really great in complete darkness and has night vision. Also what is the best hand held camcorder that i can buy as well to do the same stuff and look great just like a professional one. That has HD and Night vision on it.

  Prosumer cameras between consumer and pro, start a little above your budget, consumer cameras will not give you the night vision you want, 3-6 feet maybe you maximum unless you add a more powerful infra red emitter, Is 1500 for both of the cameras or just one, if its for both then you dont have chance, especially in HD. you cannot expect a $1000 camera to be anywhere as good as a $8,000+, good video is not down only to quality of the camera, its also the techniques used to make the video understanding lighting, and composition. I have seen plenty of very poor quality videos made on very expensive cameras, and the other way round. if you are short of money the the secondhand route may be best, or even renting a camera for a few days. there are a few options RR
