Is the Sony HD HandyCam HDR-CX110 compatible with windows movie maker?

im buying the Sony HD HandyCam HDR-CX110 next week but i want to make sure that it is compatible with windows movie maker so i can edit my videos with that please helpp !!

The Sony HDR-CX110 captures very highly compressed AVCHD format video to MTS files. We don't know which version of MovieMaker you are using. Go to microsoft.com, locate your version of MovieMaker and find out what file types it can handle. Don't be surprised if you do not see MTS files listed. If this is the case, you will need to transcode - convert - the files to WMV files using transcoders like HandBrake or MPEG Streamclip (or any of a number of others) in order to get the video into MovieMaker.
