A problem with my Sony Camcorder.

Problem with my Sony HDR-SR32E camcorder?

I bought this camcorder and am trying to install its software on my Windows- XP. It just wont. So, I spoke to Sony themselves and they advised me to buy a Sony USB cable VMC-14UMB2 which I have and I still cant install it. Sony offices are closed today. Can anyone help. Cheers.

Hi Paul...just in case you had the same problem as me. I just got a Sony Camcorder for Xmas and followed the installation instructions for downloading Sony softward Picture Motion Browser but it said camera not connected when it was. I had not realised that you had to open up the actual camera and touch the Screen with the button on it which showed the computer. I had only been turning the camera on and not doing it - once I touched the screen problem was solved. Hope this is the same prob you are having and that it solves it for you.
