How do you charge a flip video camera?

Why wont my video flip camera charge?

• i charge it on my laptop computer and it keeps saying it's "too hot" and then stops charging? and other times it only holds charge for a couple minutes then dies. do i need a new battery? am i charging it the wrong way?

  Your battery has died because every time you charged your camcorder, the battery was not dead. If the way to transfer video from a flip is by plugging it into a USB port and charging it is done the same way, buy several batteries because this a very faulty design. Most people charge their camcorder, shoot a video, get home and want to put it on there computer. As soon as they plug the camcorder into the USB port it starts charging a 90% full battery, Over time this will destroy the battery. Buy many batteries, that is all I have to say.
