How do I transfer mini DV to computer?

How do i transfer a video fom my mini dv camcorder to my computer and burn it onto a dvd?

  • i am buying a sony mini DV camcorder so can u guys tell me how to transfer my videos from the mini DV tape to my computer and then to burn it on DVD

    Depending on your computer, you should have a "firewire" port on the computer and one on the camera. You may need to buy the cable. When you turn the camcorder on, the application on your computer to control the camera should come on automatically. Do some editing and burn to a DVD, Sony should provide the basic software.
