How to upload pictures?

How do you upload pictures onto your laptop with your camera SD card?

  • Basically, I'm having a ton of trouble trying to upload my pictures from my camera to my laptop. I lost my uploader so that's checked off. So, what when i used my sister's laptop, it worked fine. I stuck the SD card inside and it automatically uploaded the pictures. Now, since I see her every once in a while, i never have time to upload. My laptop is a lenovo enhanced experienced 2.0 laptop and whenever i slide the SD card into place, i go to the "computer" link. When i open it, it says "devices with removable storage". There, it's the SD card button and the DVD button. when i click the SD card button, it says " you need to format disk e before you can use it" when i click the option to format it, it says all the data would be lost from it. I have alot of pictures on it so i don't want to lose them. What do I do? Help me pleassssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee! and i want to uload them

  • Answer:

Your laptops card reader might not support sd cards size. Some don't support a card bigger than 2 G. You can contact Lenovo or whoever makes Lenovo and see if you can update your card readers driver. The easiest way to download photos is with a USB card reader. They are cheap. If by chance your card has become corrupt, you might need a photo recovery software like http://www.recuva.com. It's free and you would do a deep scan of the card. Memory cards should be downloaded and formatted periodically. Make sure all of your photos are backed up to an external source like a DVD or external hard drive. Do not use your card as a permanent storage device.
