I dont own one so i cant say but what i did was watch videos on your tube with people recordings and reviews that helped me alot to buy the camera i wanted. Truest me yourtube has lots of people testing camera's out.

I had the HF20 and it's a very good camcorder. But now I would go with HF200 since its better. Go on google and search for HF20 review or HF200 review. This will help you a lot.
