Why doesn't my video camera make good quality videos on youtube?

• I bought this panasonic nv-gs25 about 2 years ago and had no problems... But I am not getting interested in making some movies to put on youtube, but as i uploaded a test video on youtube the video image quality was really bad...   That's about average quality for a YouTube video. What format did you edit it into. WMV and MOV are the best formats. This one looks like you dropped the frame rate to 15 FPS from 30, that's affects the smoothness. I get near DVD quality with WMV/WMF (Window Media) and with MOV at 320x200 30 FPS or 640 x400 30 FPS. This looks like it might be RA which is very low quality or MPEG2. Three things I'd recomend is better lighting. Get a few clamp lights from a hardware store with 60 or 100 watt bulbs and light the set better it will improve original image quiality and contrast. Use a tripod. Don't hand hold so much or if you do, don't move so much. You might try upping the contrast in STudio 7 a tad and see if it improves things with better saturation. You can also sharpen it a little, edge sharpening, but it could make the image fall apart even worse.
