How do you lighten up a dark video?

Problems with video camera too dark in lighten up room?

  • i bought a digital camcorder on ebay brand new its appears to have no brand name its 16mp max hd dual video digital zoom of 8 ( not great but standard) exposer evo 2.0 ~ iso 100/200/400/800 white balance - auto, daylight, cloudy, flurorestent, tungsten then average lanscape sceens my prob is how do i lighten up the camera so it sees better . i have a povo camera litrerally **** even in a room with a lamp works great but the new camera doesnt it very black even with flash on does any one has a suggestion. or it could be when u proced the video on laptop but then it should be that

    Hi G G, If the camera is set to it's highest quality settings, I'm afraid your problem is caused by the poor quality of the lens and/or the sensor. I'll bet the lens is made of plastic and is not not very light-sensitive. These brand-less chinese products are cheap and poorly made. The only thing you can try is set it to ISO 800 but then you'll get a lot of "noise", I'll bet. So, take your loss and use it outside only. See this as a lesson and move on. I realize this isn't the answer you were waiting for but it's just the way it is. I hope sincerely you didn't pay too much for it. Greetings, Lance
