How to transfer video from PC to mobile?

How can I transfer mini DV camcorder video to my PC as avi file using USB?

  • Sony DCR-HC26 miniDV camcorder has its own software to transfer video, but it is in compressed format and low quality. Is there a program or way to transfer high quality video to PC through USB?

    You don't. No, there is no program that will do "high quality" over USB like you are asking for. Use firewire. Add a card. Cheap and easy if you have an available PCI slot or PCMCIA slot in a laptop.

Yup - I'm with Bill G - you don't - it is not possible to transfer at high quality .avi using USB - you must use firewire.
