How do I take a snapshot from a video I have recorded?
-
Hi, I have recorded a few videos from when I went to a concert, and I was wondering if there was any piece of software or anything that I can use to 1. make it easier (maybe slow the video time down a bit so I can get a better photo) and 2. that I can actually take a photo of the screen (I tried Screenshot but it isn't the best thing to use as you then have to put it into a word doc) 3. MANY THANKS!

Answer:
Save the video to Documents. Import the video to Windows Movie Maker Vista version. Choose the Time Line view and drag the video to the Time Line. Move the cursor over the time bar where you have the shot you want. To be more accurate you can click on the left 'expand' icon to lengthen the video. Click where you want to 'save' and go to tools and choose from the drop down menu 'take photo from video'. That will save to Pictures.

This is the only way I'd know how to... I can't guarantee if this works or not, as I've never tried it, but this is how i'd do it in your circumstances with the software I know and have. Try borrowing the iPhone from a friend, and if you don't have Windows 7, again, someone probably has that also. YOU NEED 1) An iPhone/iPod Touch (make sure it's synced to an e-mail) 2) Windows 7 "Snipping Tool" STEPS 1) Sync the video to your computer. 2) E-mail the video to the iPhone. 3) Watch the video on your iPhone. When you get to the part you like, pause it. Hold down the power button on the top and the circle button on the bottom of the front until you see a flash. Then let go. 4) Access your camera and click the square in the bottom left hand corner with an arrow coming out of it. 5) Select "Email Photo and e-mail it to an address where you can access a snipping tool (like Windows 7) 6) Select the photo. Copy it, and Paste it into Microsoft Word. (Windows 7 Snipping tool and Microsoft Word 2010 are compatible.) Voila! Best of luck with your project!
