Which HDD handycam is the all around easiest to use?

How to join move clips taken by SONY HANDYCAM (Model DCR-SR62) with in built 30GB HDD.?

I am using a laptop with Windows XP Home edition 1.83 GHz and 1 GB RAM and installed the CD provided with the Handycam.The output file for this Handycam is "mpg". Now please help me how I can join these mpg clips as a single file for DVD or VCD format? I don't want to loose the original quality of the Handycams original clips. I tried through "Free vedio joiner" downloaded from internet. But the quality is reduced to 50%. Is there any free software available other than "free video joiner" or any option in the CD provided by the SONY with the Handycam? Or any other way..? please help me…

There is a program on your PC called Windows Movie Maker. I make LOTS of videos on youtube with different scenes, and when you want to link videos, all you have to is drag your videos to the storyboard (just a chain of boxes that you put your videos in). If you cant find it under programs, search it under "search" in your start menu. Windows Movie Maker. It's on all XP's. Hope this helps! (by the way you can even add music and opening titles and stuff AND uploading to Youtube will be easy since its in MPEG which is MP4)
