How can i fix my camcorder and the cassette?

Once the cassette holder in my JVC camcorder GR-D270U is closed it does not recedes automatically?

  • when i press the section labelled PUSH, the cassette holder is closed but does not moving (receding) inside the camcorder automatically (or manually), thus I can not close the cassette holder cover and the camcorder can not be used. To remove the tape I should change from one mode (e.g., Play, to another mode, e.g., A (automatic recording or M ,manual recording). I bought it in the san francisco through internet at 2005, working properly until 1 week ago.

    As long as the battery has some power, it should work even if the camcorder is turned off. I have that exact same camcorder.. Is this what you want... http://home.comcast.net/~kierchar/jvc.wmv If it is, then your camcorder is broke.

Im not sure I understand if you are saying the compartment will not OPEN or it will not CLOSE...? Try and check the battery or power source, make sure the switch is in the "on" position. If that doesnt work, try calling an electronics repair store (i.e. Circuit City) for advice. Sounds as if the button that operates the compartment door is broken.
