How long does a insignia camcorder need to charge?

I need a rechargeable camcorder suitable for a 10 year old girl?

• and I especially am looking for something that is Rechargeable. I once bought an inexpensive camcorder for my daughter but it only runs on batteries and the batteries only last about 5 minutes in a camcorder. I used rechargeable batteries later but that's a pain too, because you have to charge the batteries for 8 hours to use them for 5 minutes in the camcorder. Does anyone know of an inexpensive camcorder that is rechargeable? Thanks.

  10 is too young for video, imho. she should be ready for video at age 14 or so. but she is the right age for learning still photography technique. go with a good digital still camera, or even a used 35mm SLR film camera.
