How do I sound like the Chipmunks?

I have downloaded an analog video (w/ video capture card) how do I get rid of voices that sound like chipmunks

  • I used an ATI video card and downloaded via a VCR...when the VCR is playing everything sounds right, but when put into Windows Movie Maker the voices play back like they are Alvin and the Chipmunks...is there a way to correct the speed of the video (I know that Windows Movie Maker will only allow you to decrease speed by half...too slow...I need it somewhere in between....OR should we re-shoot the video with the camera set at a slower speed...would that help....there's got to be someone out there that knows....please help....I'm on a deadline with this video. Thanks so much!!!

  • Answer:

It sounds like the file you have captured isn't working properly in Movie Maker. Probably something about mpg4 and how it handles the audio portion of the recording. You can probably find a free converter on the internet that will convert your file to one that Movie Maker can use. Movie Maker can use these file types: Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv.
