Would you recommend me a good Camcorder?

Can you recommend a good, but inexpensive, camcorder?

  • My husband and I just had a baby and I'd like to surprise him with a new camcorder so we can record the baby's cute moments and then play back through the DVD player. I'd like a good quality camcorder but can't afford to spend very much ($100 or less). I don't need fancy features, just the basics. What would you recommend?

    i bought the Flip camera when it first cam out for $119 & it was surprisingly good. (i don't know how much they cost now). its good for people who just want video, not special picture or anything complicated. its SO easy to learn. theres only like 3 buttons. haha. unlike complicated camcorders.

go on craigslist and look for something that fits your budget. Look at something that is a mini dv camera. This is one of the industry standards now. Then when you do that just use the camera. You don't need anything special on the camera. It is for personal use only and you will not be able to tell the difference in quality or features. I have a couple of these types and any thing from panasonic, sony, rca, canon, etc works great. Good luck on your camera purchase.
