Quality of MiniDV Tapes?
-
Is there a difference between the quality of different MiniDV tapes? between brands, or even within the same brand but different labels?
-
Answer:
Yes. Sony tapes tend to have oils in them, and wear down the heads of your camcorder over time. The best tapes are Panasonic mini dv tapes. They are dry. It is also not good to switch tapes with your camcorder, stick to one kind. Some good ones are: AYDVM63PQ Panasonic 63m Professional Quality Tapes AYDVM63MQ Panasonic 63m Master Quality Tapes Best Regards, Dontae Housley A/V Equipment Sales [email protected] www.tapeworkstexas.com
