How do i render my movie in sony vegas pro 8, so that it can directly play in a dvd/vcd player? i used to have platinum and it has "make movie" in file. but i dont see it in pro 8. i need to make this movie PLAYABLE IN A DVD PLAYER. thanks.

Answer:
Normally, vegas pro should have a tools to do that. Check in tools>burn disc...>DVD... If it's not, try to get an update or try version 9.0 or 10.0

instead of saving the finished movie as a file to the hard drive, you need to "publish" it to movie DVD.
