How to import a video from camera into iMovie?

How do i import a AVI video from a video camera onto iMovie?

  • I do not know how to do this. I did it but the movie is a blank white screen with the sound but no picture. Or how do i put it on Movie Magic?

iMovie can't support avi video, so you should change it to iMovie supported video files, like mov, mp4. http://www.mp4kits.com/Guides/iMovie/import-avi-to-imovie/

I think you need to convert the video file format first, since imovie can support mov and mp4 not avi.
