How to send a video from a digital camera in an email?

I shot video using my camera and my email won't let me send it out, how can I?

  • My friend is having the same problem with his video that he shot w/ his camera. we're getting the same messages.. file to large to email. Can U give me explicit directions on how to send video to others? I planned to CC it to all. BTW.. the video was only between 3 minutes to 4 minutes long!

    I expect its a very large file. And your email has a limit. you need to reduce its size. to make it smaller just use Windows Movie Maker. open the prog import the video place it in the video area to the bottom then Finish click send in email it will do all the work for you Good luck RR

You probably need to compress the file, crunch the file size down. In addition, maybe e-mail attachments aren't the best way to go here. They're slow to upload and download, and they'll stuff up your inbox. You can try a free upload/download site to share your videos with people, setting whatever privacy controls you want. Get a look at: http://www.4shared.com I use it very often. It's fast, it lets me put up large files, and it lets me password-protect who can see them. All free, but you can pay for increased storage if you want.

You have a 10 MB limit per email, your video can be only 30 Secs but if goes over 10 MB it wont pass the email size restrictions
