How can I transfer film from a old camera to a dvd or computer?

I have a very old camera that records the film onto a small tape cassette. I then have a VHS size tape that I put the smaller cassette into and I can watch the movies through a VHS player. I need to transfer the recordings either onto a disk or onto my computer because I want to edit them on my computer. How can I go about doing that?
