What is the best way to recover video from a camcorder that had it's hard drive formatted?

I accidentally formatted the hard drive on my camcorder. I lost about 60 GBs worth of AVCHD raw video (.mts) files. I havent recorded to the camcorder at all so I don't think I wrote over it. I have used 2 different file recovery programs and they can only find 300-400 MBs and not the other 60 GBs. What is the best file recovery/forensic utility? How much is the typical data recovery service cost for that much data from a camcorder? Anybody who has experience with dealing with lost camcorder video would be greatly appreciated!
