How do lens adapters work?

I need help finding a lens adapter for my Sony HDR XR200E?

  • Hi, I am film maker who needs depth of field in my films. I have been trying to find a lens adapter, but I can't find any. I have been looking at LetusDirect.com, but I don't think they have a lens adapter that would work. Now, I could be wrong and the lens adapters at LetusDirect.com actually do work please tell. Thanks.

    Read the camcorder's manual. Near the back, there is a "Specifications" section. In there, locate the "Lens Filter Diameter". That is the screw-mount size you need when you identify the appropriate lens add-on you want. It will look like "37mm" or "30mm"... Take that measurement and check for the DoF adapter that matches. I *could* tell you the answer directly, but, "If you give a person a fish..."
